Ingredients

Crisp bread

  • 50 g rolled oats

  • 50 g sesame seeds

  • 50 g flaxseed

  • 50 g poppy seeds

  • 250 g wheat flour

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 100 ml neutral oil

  • 150 ml water

LINIE blackcurrant compote

  • 300 g blackcurrants – washed

  • 250 g sugar

  • 1 organic lemon – only the grated zest

  • 4 tbsp LINIE Aquavit

Good cheeses

  • 200 g good Cheddar or Parmesan

  • 200 g good Brie or Camembert

  • 200 g good Gouda or Edam

Preparation steps

    Crisp bread

    1. Mix rolled oats, sesame seeds, flaxseeds, poppy seeds, wheat flour, salt, oil and water together in a bowl.

    2. Knead the dough well until it is uniform.

    3. Divide the dough into two portions and roll out each portion between two pieces of baking paper to the desired shape and thickness.

    4. Remove the top sheet of baking paper and bake the crisp bread at 180 degrees Celsius for about 18 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden.

    5. Allow the crisp bread to cool and then break them into suitable pieces.

    LINIE blackcurrant compote

    1. Put blackcurrants and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to the boil.

    2. Simmer for about 10 minutes until the berries are soft and the sugar has dissolved.

    3. Add LINIE Aquavit and lemon zest and stir well.

    4. Allow the blackcurrant jam to cool before serving.

    Plating

    1. Cut the cheeses into suitable pieces or slices and arrange them on a platter or plate.

    2. Serve crisp bread and blackcurrant jam alongside the cheese platter.
