LINIE Mulled Wine
7 dl red wine (we used Spanish Tempranillo)
5 dl LINIE Aquavit
4 dl apple juice
1 ½ dl orange liqueur, e.g., Grand Marnier or Cointreau
1 ½ dl vanilla liqueur, e.g., Galliano (can be replaced with half a vanilla pod)
5 dl water
1 ½ dl cane sugar
About 15 pcs of star anise (15 g)
About 30 psc of clove tips (2.5 g)
Garnish: Star anise

Do you want to impress a little extra at this year's Christmas party? Make mulled wine from scratch and experiment with your favorite Christmas spices and flavors. This recipe makes about 2.3 liters or 10–12 glasses. Put all the ingredients in a pot, and heat the mixture while stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Let it simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes. Serve the mulled wine warm and possibly garnish with star anise.
